How Much Water are You Swallowing While Washing A Car?

carwash 125The car wash study; a collaboration, between the Water Quality Research Group (Associate Professor Karin Leder, Dr Martha Sinclair and Dr Joanne O’Toole) at the SPHPM, and RMIT University, kicked off this week with the first car being washed by a participant.

This study is looking at how much water people accidentally swallow when they wash a car with a high pressure spray. The information collected in this study will help to improve guidelines for using recycled water for car washing, garden watering and other non-drinking purposes.
