Dr Wijesinghe commented on the importance of delivering health services to adolescents. He commented “Adolescents represent a little over one fifth of the total population in Sri Lanka. Although the country has made substantial progress towards addressing Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) yet there are some identified gaps in delivery of health services to adolescents.” He said that knowledge gained by studying various multi model approaches used, in the centres visited, to address the problems faced by youth will be quite useful in developing/revising public health policies in Sri Lanka.
