Women Diagnosed for Menopause After Breast Cancer May Vary With Type of Doctors
Professory Helena Teede and her team carried out a study on how different medical specialities diagnose and treat menopause of women after breast cancer. This study looked clinicians who were endocrinologists, oncologists, gynaecologists, breast surgeons and GP’s. The results showed that there were significant differences in approach between different medical specialities, meaning that many women may not always be getting consistent treatment. This study and the results were published on News-Medical.Net this week.
