Doctors reunite at Austin Hospital

A group of distinguished medical professionals met at Melbourne’s Austin Hospital last week, to recognise the work of diabetes specialist Prof. George Jerums.

Among the guests were Prof. Ego Seeman, Professor of Endocrinology  at  Melbourne University, Prof. Geoffrey Donnan, Director of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, and Prof. John McNeil, Chair of the Department of  Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University.

The occasion served as a reunion for these now well-renowned doctors, as all three of them worked together as medical registrars at the Austin in the late 1970s.
