A/Prof Belinda Gabbe and A/Prof Rory Wolfe have been promoted to full Professors

Congratulations to Associate Professor Belinda Gabbe, Head of DEPM's Pre-Hospital, Emergency and Trauma Research Unit, and to Associate Professor Rory Wolfe from DEPM's Biostatistical Unit, who have been promoted to full Professors, effective from January 2014.

Belinda is a Chief Investigator of the Victorian State Trauma Registry, Victorian Orthopaedic Trauma Outcomes Registry, and the Bi-National Burns Registry.  Her research focuses on the evaluation of trauma systems, trauma system improvements and measuring the burden of injury. 

Rory has been a biostatistician at DEPM since 2000 and contributes to a wide range of epidemiological, public health and clinical research studies. He also leads research on aspects of statistical methodology as applied to health research.

Their promotion reflects their contribution to research, teaching, leadership and engagement within the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, and the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
