DEPM Staff Visit Gambling Research Lab at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada

Last week Angela Rintoul and Dr Charles Livingstone visited the Gambling Research Lab at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, where they worked on a number of collaborative research activities in the area of poker (or slot) machine gambling research, and participated in a seminar with A/Prof Natasha Dow Schull of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, author of the recent book 'Addiction by Design'. Their hosts at Waterloo were A/Prof Kevin Harrigan and Prof Mike Dixon.  The travel was funded by an international collaboration grant from the Ontario Problem Gambling Research Committee.
